Researching the heritage of Beach House Park since it opened
to the public in 1924. Including a series of free activities for the local
community. Gathering and sharing information about the park's
social history, entertainment and leisure activities.

The project enabled us to:
Design & Create: an educational bird trail & infographic sign about pollinators & a water harvester for the community allotment in BugCycle garden. A new heritage board for Beach House Park (scroll down to see heritage board)
Hosted free activities: Lawn Bowls taster sessions, wreath making, bush craft, writing workshops, heritage walks & talks.
Celebrated the parks heritage: with events in the park with free crafting activities and entertainment.

The education pack is designed for use by teachers, community groups and families to have fun learning about
Beach House Park’s heritage, wildlife, whilst encouraging young people to get out and explore nature!
The activities in the pack relate to the National Curriculum Key Stage 1 & 2.
